The award winning digital printer has incorporated a British Retail Consortium approved zone in its newly expanded manufacturing facility in Willenhall. The company has been classified as being able to produce digital labels and flexible pouches that are suitable for all applications including the coveted ‘high risk’ category.
Willenhall, West Midlands, 20th May 2015 – CS Labels is delighted to announce today that it has been awarded the BRC Global Standard accreditation for packaging. The award winning digital printer has developed a dedicated manufacturing facility designed to comply with these standards as part of its ongoing expansion plan that also recently included a six figure investment into one of the fastest digital presses in the world.
The BRC standards guarantee the standardisation of quality, safety and operational criteria and ensure that packaging manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer. CS Labels have been awarded accreditation right up the highest level ‘high risk’ which is extremely difficult to achieve.
MD Simon Smith said: “The team, led by Technical Sales Director Andrew Mansfield and supported by Elaine Fletcher have worked hard to achieve these extremely high BRC standards.BRC adds that official ‘tick in the box’ to confirm to retailers that our packaging and processes are safe and legal. If you are supplying into clients that request this standard, or you as a business need this level, then you can be sure that you are complying packaging wise if you are using CS Labels. Our accreditation covers the manufacturing of labels, and will also cover our brand new digital flexible pouches as part of our expansion into other areas of packaging.”
A Bright Future for CS Labels....
CS Labels remains as Europe’s largest printer to use Xeikon technology and they continue to consistently grow year-on-year in capacity, turnover, profit and staff since they took the leap to become entirely digital in 2007. They continue to be a major threat to the conventional flexographic market as digital print becomes more and more competitive on longer print runs. Its client base includes major global brand names such as Twinings and Mars in addition to thousands of other small to medium companies.
Smith concludes: “This announcement is just another one of many that we’ll be making this year as we continue to push the boundaries of print, and its inherent capabilities to increase brand value, drive marketing campaigns and at the same time reduce operational costs.”
